Beaches --- The town of Wellfleet has operated family-friendly bay beaches
namely Mayo Beach, Indian Neck, Burton Baker Beach, Powers Landing
and Duck Harbor. Ocean Beaches (Newcomb Hollow beach, Cahoon
Hollow Beach, White Crest beach and Maguire's Landing and Marconi
Beach) are also appealing to most tourists. (learn more).
Hiking & Biking --- The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary has friendly
staff that are ready to assist with trail maps wildlife information.
Chequessett Yacht & Country Club --- Chequessett Neck Road. 9-Hole,
par 35 course. (508) 349-3704.
Miniature Golf at Wellfleet Drive In --- Route 6 at Drive-In. (508) 349-
7176. 18-hole golf course is still the original obstacle course built in 1961.
Flea Market --- Route 6 at Wellfleet Drive-In. Miniature golf, flea market
and cinemas. (508) 349-2520.
Fun Seekers --- Fun Seekers offers instruction and guided tours for
kiteboarding, surfing, windsurfing, and kayaking. (508) 349-1429.
Marconi Wireless Station --- Communications history was made here less
than a century ago. A memorial honors Guglielmo Marconi and his wireless
telegraph invention. In 1901, he tried unsuccessfully to transmit a wireless
message across the Atlantic. Finally succeeding on January 18, 1903, he
sent the results of the America’s Cup to Wales, England. Located on
Lecount Hollow Road off Route 6.
Naviator --- Town Pier. (508) 349-6003. Fishing trips and marine life
cruises.
Oliver's Clay Tennis Courts & Lessons --- Route 6. (508) 349-3330.
Samuel Rider House --- This 18th Century farmhouse was built by
Samuel Rider, a church deacon, in the mid-1700s. Now operated by the
Wellfleet Historical Society, it has been completely restored as a historical
landmark. The homestead also features seasonal exhibits. Located on Gull
Pond Road off Route 6.
Uncle Tim's Bridge --- Surrounded by natural scenery, this wooden
boardwalk follows a marsh before opening up to a small tree-covered hill. A
hidden treasure - perfect for picnics or for a quiet getaway. Located on
Commercial Street.
Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary --- Consisting of pine groves and salt
marshes, this 650-acre reserve is home to many indigenous Cape Cod birds.
The Massachusetts Audubon Society offers guided tours of the area.
Located just off Route 6.
Wellfleet Pier --- This pier has various shops and ice cream parlors next
to its parking lot. Numerous boats and fishing vessels line the wooden
structure’s moorings. Many evening events are held here, including town
band concerts. Take Main Street to Commercial Street to Kendrick Avenue
to Chequessett Knolls Dr. and follow to the end.
Restaurants --- Wellfleet has several restaurants that serve good food from
clam shacks on the beach to bistros with wonderful wine lists. (more info).

Gallery Hopping in Wellfleet Center: A walking
"tour" of the center of town will bring you to a
number of galleries. (more info).
Let's Go to the Movies, Wellfleet Cinemas and
Drive-In, Route 6 at the Eastham town line.
Rainy day matinees. Also an old-fashioned
drive-in with a double feature every night in
season (rain or clear).
